NAJO
We were approached by Najo Jewellery to do a UX/UI makeover on their site as it lacked structure and needed a design uplift. One of the biggest challenges of this project was designing ‘Custom Engraving’ where a user can personalise the jewellery. CONSIDERATIONS: it was important to maintain the brand identity and integrity while still creating a uniquely designed website that encapsulated luxury and to draw in more user attention. Accompanying the UX/UI website redesign, I also made a motion design of the process. (Scroll down to the see old site)
A heavily considered custom engraver popup that allows users to preview and design their own personalised jewellery.
The popup is designed in a way to guide the user to ‘add to cart’.
There are 3 variable fields: text, font and size.
Text is typed in, font is selected and size is pulled on a slider.
Users select checkboxes whether they want either the inside or outside engraved.
Horizontal dropdown filter menu
Four column product images with no text. On hover, product name, tags, wishlist, price, quick view and lifestyle image appear.
As a way to break up the large white images, I designed the collection page to showcase a static image (potential for text or no text) to create visual difference. This is also an opportunity to display images with the jewellery on/how to wear it.
Collection page is clean, simple and allows for the jewellery to speak for itself.
